Voice messaging has been added to WhatsApp

WhatsApp is giving its competition a run for it with the new voice messaging feature that can easily be activated by just pushing the “record” button on the app.

WhatsApp messages currently total to about eleven billion sent and around twenty billion received on a daily basis. The new voice messaging feature is expected to increase that count.

The popular green and white-logoed app presently has nearly three hundred million users. In addition, about 325 million pictures are shared daily on WhatsApp. Those carrying an iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Windows Phone, or Android, can start enjoying the new voice messaging feature that’s now included in WhatsApp.
Co-Founder and CEO Jan Koum stated the availability of the voice messaging update in a recent interview. After selecting the voice record button, you can simply let it go and the message will go to its receiver. If you decide to remove what you said, you just have to swipe to the left to delete the message.

An appealing aspect of the voice message feature is that users won’t have to rush when delivering the message since the amount of time to record is unlimited. When a recording is heard, a blue mic icon will appear. The volume also automatically adapts to the user’s location in respect to the device.
